My dream car is a 350z in which I would modify, painted all black:
No one ones the amount of d*** I would suck, or people I would kill, to get behind the wheel of an GT-R35....

Valet happens to be one of the few departments I oversee at the resort I work at... ive driven a few that have come through here and must say, certainly one of the top 3 cars ive ever driven.
the others in the list of top cars, are easily 3-4 times the price of the GTR

Here's the deal. You need to understand how gas burning really works. You also are not at liberty to speak on what is or is not possible on that trip without actually having driven it - as I have.
He doesn't need to actually drive that trip to be skeptical of your claim of a thousand miles on a tank of gas. Frankly, I'm skeptical of it too.

Well I guess you should check your luck with a Terk TV5 off air antennae direct connect to your Digital TV tuner to confirm you can receive decent HDTV Broadcast signals before buying the EyeTV 500.
I receive 1080i HDTV signal via satellite. Gotta love MonstersHD. :D

As an aside, I wish they'd bring the Golf GTD over here. I would be strongly tempted to buy one.
The Golf GTD is brilliant... I think it's a better everyday car than the GTI, I test drove one (no intention of buying, but something to do on a Sunday afternoon) and its in-gear performance is proper... :eek: And it's far more sophisticated looking than the GTI too.
That said, it's a shame that VW haven't launched a Polo GTD... yet, IMHO the Polo GTI is the true spiritual successor to the MK I Golf GTI, more compact, lighter with an absolute peach of an engine... a GTD would offer comparable performance, but with extraordinary fuel efficiency. :eek: The Polo's better looking too... ;)

I hope this means we will see HDMI out on the next MacBook Pros. I really want to be able to use my soon-to-be-had MacBook Pro Core2Duo as a media center too. With that said, here's to hoping the new MBPs have HDMI and the ability to output Dolby PLII and at least 1080i. My current 1.25ghz G4 book chokes on 720p so I never hook it up to my plasma HDTV.

I'm still not convinced that Blu Ray is going to beat out HD-DVD.
Well the MacBooks Pros already have DVI-out which uses the same protocal as HDMI (the only difference is that HDMI also carries audio, which DVI does not). Adapters are going for only a few �/$.

Have people maybe stoped to think, that we may not get a new model this year? That the reason they are putting out the white model now, is to cover the fact we won't see a update till next year?

ok so my new 2010 MBP has been extremely slow and I was instructed to go into my disk utilities and to repair disk permissions and to verify them. I did so.
I was also instructed to take this pics here and hopefully someone can help me speed up my mac.

Its only BBC iPlayer and TVcatchup.com. Youtube is better but still glitchy
For iPlayer use iPlayer Grabber (http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/29604/iplayer-grabber) which will allow you to directly download the streams that you can later delete. Once you have the file on your drive use the G4 optimized Mplayer I created this (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1129727&highlight=) thread to share. Be sure to set the Mplayer preferences the way I show there for best results.
I will look into a tvcatchup solution. Does it use flash? If so then Firefox with the FlashGot extension should do the trick to download them and then use Mplayer like the iPlayer videos.
As for youtube I am shocked you have not heard of Mactubes (http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/28608/mactubes). Simply set the player setting in preferences to Quicktime and it will play youtube without even breaking a sweat. The fact that there is no need to go to the site or download the videos first makes it practical and also makes a new user experience without the ads and comments. You can see comments in video info though.

im more than sure your going to get another special event when Leopard launches and it will have iWork and iLilfe launched at the same time as it now seems these are integrating more than before....
Why have everything in the one day, when we now get the chance to sit back, take in what we just say and look forward to something else very soon..:
I have to admit this is a good point, we WILL be getting iWork, iLife and Leopard sometime soon, and most likely new hardware around the same time.

I'd like to answer my own question for anyone doing a search. No, it does NOT watermark. Not at all. I love the one I got.
