I'm with both sides on this argument.

Not the best Keynote I've ever seen, but then again, with such an impressive device like the iPhone (and I think most people are agreed on that), it would have been a very long Keynote if Steve had demo'd Leopard features as well. :rolleyes:

I'm gonna give them the benefit of the doubt, and wait for an announcement of another 'special event' in the near future. :) Hope so anyway.

Kind of a bitter-sweet day for me.

I'm using OS X 10.4.11 Tiger so this may be different on a newer version of OS X. Do you mean Personal Web Sharing? If so, anything you want to share will need to be in the Sites folder of your User folder. There should be a sample html file and some image files in there already to get you started.

I am looking for the cheapest option and already know about elgatos diversity or hybrid usb stick that does it! But that is almost �100! but if there is nothing else I will have to go with it!!!!!!

Hehe - yeah you got me :D

Just purchased a 9700 pre flashed for Mac for about �4 more than a standard PC card. Was too good to pass up. That and 666Sheep's point that it runs cooler.

Ram has not arrived yet but it is coming from Canada so I'll not complain too much.

Just cant find 10.5 for less that �90 odd (US$160) :mad: :( :eek:

I hope this means we will see HDMI out on the next MacBook Pros. I really want to be able to use my soon-to-be-had MacBook Pro Core2Duo as a media center too. With that said, here's to hoping the new MBPs have HDMI and the ability to output Dolby PLII and at least 1080i. My current 1.25ghz G4 book chokes on 720p so I never hook it up to my plasma HDTV.

I'm still not convinced that Blu Ray is going to beat out HD-DVD.
Well the MacBooks Pros already have DVI-out which uses the same protocal as HDMI (the only difference is that HDMI also carries audio, which DVI does not). Adapters are going for only a few �/$.

So because you don't like Financial Times it's okay for everyone that they are holding out iPad subscriptions. This is exactly what's wrong with you Apple fanboys.

You should be penalizing Apple for allowing this to happen. but instead you jump for joy.

It has nothing to do with liking or not liking FT. It has to do with Apple protecting consumers by requiring companies to give you the choice to opt in.

I love that Apple is doing this. I wish they would actually make it an advertising point to say that they care about your privacy. If companies want your data they should offer a reduced price for your subscription and let you decide.

I realize with location based services, providing a service and maintaining privacy is a slippery slope, but I think most consumers can see when the exchange of location data is necessary to provide the service and can choose to use or not use the service.

One can debate all day long about the quality of technical services or capabilities being better than the other between say Droid and iOS, but I for one will happily pay for an OS, or a platform that protects my privacy over one that was designed solely to exploit it.

Lets hope they fix the OSX Server SMTP issue as well. We had to move everyone off of outlook for Mac because it would no longer connect for the SMTP side of our OSX server. Could receive email no problem but would not send. Move to OSX Mail and no issue. Outlook on PC no issue. Very odd problem and could not solve it.

Has anyone had a close look at the main picture on Apple's preview page? The sender of the email in the top pane is 'Katie Lorenzo' but in the preview pane her name is 'Amy Lorenzo'. Also, the delivery time is out by almost an hour.
